Another Step Toward Israel-Palestinian Negotiations

Here's the update on that, from Haaretz.

Haaretz also recently posted an excellent overview of the current state of on-the-ground relations between Israeli and Palestinian authorities, especially in the area of security cooperation.  The story is broadly that things remain tense toward Gaza and Hamas, as we know from the news.  But in the West Bank, there is much progress as Israeli military officials recognize the skill and commitment of the Palestinian Authority's forces there to fight terrorist cells.
